Dr Patricia Evans

After a long career involving research into the various forms of iron found in human tissues, I decided to devote some of my time during retirement to helping Haemochromatosis patients. I have been secretary of Haemochromatosis International for several years and I also help out where I can with EFAPH. My scientific background enables me to write and assess articles and I enjoy preparing Hemonews (the EFAPH newsletter) with my EFAPH colleagues. Although my help is indirect, I hope that I have made a small contribution towards advancing the awareness of, and the provision of effective therapies for Haemochromatosis.
