The Iron Disorders Institute provides educational materials for patients and their doctors about hereditary hemochromatosis, as well as iron deficiency with and without anemia.
It is estimated that more than 11 million Americans have some form of hemochromatosis.
The Iron Disorders Institute was formed to assure that anyone with an iron disorder receive an early, complete diagnosis, appropriate therapy and have access to information about disorders such as haemochromatosis, iron overload with or without anemia, iron deficiency with or without anemia, iron avidity and anemia of inflammatory response.
The organisation has around 5,000 members across the U.S.A.
